DESERTIFICATION
According to Oxford Languages, desertification is the process by which fertile land becomes desert, typically as a result of drought, deforestation, or inappropriate agriculture. Dryland accounts for nearly 41 percent of earth's surface and the most susceptible to desertification. Already scarce of water, it's easy for dryland to convert to desert. This is concerning since 2 billion people live in dryland areas; to avoid turning some humans and other life into fossils, it’s important to recognize the dichotomy of deforestation and inappropriate agriculture, to protect dryland from desertification. Dryland accounts for over a quarter of the world’s forests and supplies those areas with resources to survive and grow. Proper awareness, generates proper techniques to work in harmony with nature. It’s easy to see how respect for nature can sustain and benefit humans.
